Days 1 - 7
Initial Healing Phase
Congratulations on your new pair of microbladed brows!
Right now the cuts are fresh, so your skin may be pink, swollen and irritated. Shortly after your appointment, the pigment will begin to oxidize, which may cause your brows to appear darker.
Using a clean Q-tip, begin applying the A&D ointment your technician gave you to your eyebrows twice a day. Make sure you're only applying a thin layer so your skin can breathe.
It is crucially important you avoid the following activities for the first 7 days:
∙ Working out
∙ Sweating, sitting in a sauna, bath or jacuzzi
∙ Swimming or submerging your brows under water
∙ Spending time in the sun
∙ Any laser or chemical treatments or peels, including Retin-A or Glycolic acid
∙ Picking, peeling, or scratching of the micro pigmented area
∙ Drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds
∙ Driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles
Days 7 - 14
Color Change Phase
At this point in the healing process, your brows should be completely scabbed up, which will cause them to look thick and dark. You no longer need to apply the A&D ointment to your eyebrows.
Over the course of the next few days, the scabs will begin to crack and flake off. Allow to scabs to fall off on their own, do not pick them.
As the scabs fall off, your brows may appear to be faded, patchy and uneven. This is normal and to be expected. Any lasting patchiness can usually be resolved by booking a Perfecting Session.
Please continue to avoid swimming, heavy exercise and applying any type of cosmetic product to your eyebrows.
Days 14 - 30
Final Healing Phase
At this point, your brows should be fully healed. You can now resume your normal daily activities.
It may be necessary to schedule a Perfecting Session to ensure you obtain your desired results.
Keep in mind that your skin type and lifestyle will play a role in how long well your microblading will heal, and how long it will last.
Once completely healed, always apply a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Sun exposure might cause the color pigment to fade away more quickly.
You can now enjoy your beautiful new semi-permanent eyebrows!
